We won’t tell you how to sauna, but we do have a few house rules. Phones stay tucked away indoors, swimsuits are a must, and if you forget your water bottle, we’ve got you covered.
Think of this as your pre-plunge briefing—where to park, what to bring, and why we’re obsessed with sauna hats. If you don’t see your question here, ask us below!
The Basics
Bathhouses have long been communal spaces for cleansing, relaxation, and social connection. Grotto continues this tradition with a modern twist.
325 NW 28th St, Miami, FL 33127, in the heart of Wynwood.
Street parking and nearby lots are available. Make sure to pay and check signs—Wynwood has strict parking enforcement.
Yes, reservations are required to visit Grotto.
The Experience
Grotto is designed for the full contrast therapy experience. Our space includes:
Two saunas – A ceremonial sauna and a full-spectrum infrared sauna.
Steam room – High-humidity heat for deep relaxation
Cold plunges – For recovery and circulation
Outdoor lounge – A sun-drenched space to unwind between sessions
Retail shop – Swimwear, skincare, sauna hats, and wellness essentials
Locker rooms – Stocked with towels, slippers, and personal care products
Aufguss is a guided sauna ritual with roots in European spa culture. A sauna master uses essential oils, infused water, and controlled towel movements to distribute heat and steam, creating an immersive, multisensory experience. The result? Deep relaxation, improved circulation, and an energizing reset between cold plunges.
You don’t need one, but if you’re a frequent sauna-goer, you might want to try it. Sauna hats help regulate temperature, keeping your head cool so you can stay in the heat longer. They’re practical, surprisingly comfortable, and a staple in many sauna cultures. We’ve sourced and commissioned a selection from around the world—functional, good-looking, and worth adding to your ritual.
Contrast therapy is generally safe for most people, but it may not be suitable for guests who are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, or have been advised by a physician to avoid extreme heat or cold. If you have any medical concerns, we recommend checking with your doctor before your visit.
No time limit, but most guests spend around 1-2 hours.
Re-entry is not allowed after leaving the space. Additional sessions must be booked.
Your Visit
Bring your swimsuit — we recommend wearing it under your clothes to make settling in easy. Towels, slippers, and personal care products are provided. Bring a water bottle (no glass), or use our refill station and compostable cups.

Bathhouse Etiquette
Rinse off before you slip into the pools. It's a simple ritual that keeps our waters pristine for everyone,
Keep conversations intimate in the pools, steam room and saunas. Your fellow bathers will thank you for it.
Wear our house sandals in the bathing area and leave your personal footwear in your locker.
We're a social bathhouse, not singles night. Unwanted advances and disruptive behavior kill the vibe for everyone. We believe in love, but we believe PDA should happen in private.
Use the towels provided in the baths — they're part of the ritual. Place them on seating surfaces in the saunas, then hang them on a hook while you soak.
House Rules
Guests must be 21 and older.
No, Grotto is 21+ only.
We do not allow alcoholic beverages, Grotto is a spirit-free venue.
